Webflow, Framer or WordPress: how I choose

There is no best platform, only the right one for your team. Here is the short decision guide I share with clients.

Webflow or
WordPress?

Who will edit the site?

This is the first question. A marketing team that wants to change pages often is happiest in Webflow or Framer. A team with lots of content, plugins or a developer on hand often prefers WordPress.

What does it need to do?

Simple marketing sites and landing pages: Framer is fastest. Bigger sites with a CMS and custom layouts: Webflow. Shops, memberships or complex integrations: WordPress usually has a plugin for it.

What will it cost to run?

Hosted platforms charge monthly, but include hosting and security. WordPress can be cheaper to host but needs updates and care. Count both money and time.

My usual answer

For most startups and agencies I work with, Webflow or Framer wins. For content-heavy sites and shops, WordPress. Either way, you get a site your team can run without me.
